SPRING HILL, FL – State troopers said two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in Spring Hill Saturday night, leaving one of them dead and the other severely injured.
According to The Suncoast News, the two were walking south across Spring Hill Drive near Linden Drive when the incident occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol said they entered the path of a van and were hit by the vehicle.
One pedestrian, a 59-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other, a 58-year-old man, was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. Both were residents of Spring Hill.
The van was driven by a 33-year-old woman from Brooksville, authorities said.
