BRANDON, FL – The 57-year-old driver of a street sweeper died following a collision with a Corvette on Brandon Blvd EB near Publix Friday, according to WBTW.

The street sweeper was cleaning a Publix when it went onto the eastbound lanes of Brandon Blvd. The 43-year-old driver of a Corvette collided with the street sweeper as it was making a U-turn back to the Publix.

The collision threw the driver off the street sweeper and he was then run over by his vehicle. It is unclear if he was pronounced dead at the scene or an area hospital.

First responders transported the Corvette driver to an area hospital with serious injuries.
