Stretch of Sarasota roadway shut down following fatal crash

SARASOTA, FL – Authorities were on the scene of a deadly accident on a Sarasota roadway Monday night, according to WFLA.

A single vehicle was involved in the crash in the westbound lanes in the 4600 block of Bee Ridge Road. No specific information on the fatality was immediately released.

The portion of Bee Ridge Road where the crash occurred was shut down to traffic heading westbound.

An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the Florida Highway Patrol and the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.
