TAMPA, FL – A man was arrested after police said he left the scene of an accident in Tampa that left a bicyclist critically injured, according to ABC Action News.
The bicyclist was struck by a Nissan Murano Sunday morning at the intersection of S. Westshore Boulevard and W. Wyoming Avenue.
Investigators said the Nissan drove away after the crash and the bicyclist was hit again by a white sedan while lying in the roadway. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police said they located a Nissan Murano with extensive damage at a nearby apartment complex and said that Yori McMillan admitted to driving the vehicle involved in the crash.
McMillian now faces several charges, including leaving the scene of an accident with serious bodily injury. Authorities are still searching for the driver of the white sedan.
