PASCO COUNTY, FL – Florida state troopers responded to a fatal collision between a sport utility vehicle and a pickup truck in Pasco County, the Free Press reports.
The Florida Highway Patrol said a 65-year-old woman was driving an SUV southbound on Interstate 75 near mile marker 293 Thursday when she began to make a left turn toward the median. The SUV went into the path of a southbound pickup truck driven by a 50-year-old Bellview man and the two vehicles collided. Both vehicles rotated and came to a stop along the shoulder, and the SUV caught fire.
