
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – A 17-year-old passenger was killed in a car crash after the driver collided with a tow truck on Northbound I-75 on Monday evening.
The fatal crash occurred at about 11:30 p.m., according to Fox 13 News.
A 17-year-old teenage driver crashed into a tow truck that was parked on the side of the highway as its driver changed a tire. The passenger of the teenager’s car, who was also 17, died at the crash scene. The truck driver sustained only minor injuries.
Local authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash, but they reported that alcohol was not a factor.
