
TAMPA, FL – A motorcyclist died following a crash on U.S. 41 near 10th Ave Friday, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The motorcyclist, a 53-year-old male, was riding with a 51-year-old female passenger in the south inside lane of U.S. 41 when he lost control near 10th Ave. Both he and his passenger were thrown from the motorcycle.
First responders were called to the scene around 8:20 p.m. They transported the passenger to an area hospital with serious injuries. It is unclear if the motorcyclist died at the scene or the hospital. Neither he nor the passenger was wearing helmets.
