ODESSA, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said one driver was killed and another injured when their vehicles collided near the Suncoast Parkway Tuesday morning.
The accident occurred on State Road 54 near Black Lake Road at about 10:30 a.m., according to the Tampa Bay Times. The driver of a van was headed west on State Road 54 when he attempted to turn south and entered the path of an an eastbound SUV, which struck the van on the passenger side.
The van driver, a 52-year-old Odessa resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not released. The driver of the SUV, a 17-year-old, was seriously injured.
