LAKELAND, FL – A woman was arrested on a DUI charge after authorities say she drove off the road and crashed in Lakeland late Tuesday night.
Fox 13 News reports 35-year-old Brittney Medina was driving a Kia Sorrento in the area of Clubhouse Road and Live Oak Road when the accident occurred at about 11 p.m. According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, she crashed through a fence before the vehicle came to rest in a homeowner’s backyard.
Medina and a child who was with her in the vehicle were not injured. The sheriff’s office said Medina failed a field sobriety test and said her blood alcohol level was over the legal limit.
