Woman dies following 2-vehicle collision

DUNEDIN, FL – A woman was fatally injured in a two-car crash at Spanish Vistas Dr and Belcher Rd Sunday, Tampa Bay Times reports.

Sylvia Gurzynski, 88, was driving a Nissan Altima on westbound Spanish Vistas Dr when she stopped at Belcher Rd. Her vehicle rolled into the curbside lane where it was then struck by a Ford Explorer operated by Arthur Ames, 18.

Dispatchers sent rescue crews to the crash site around 11:30 a.m. They pronounced Gurzynski dead at the scene. Nobody in Ames’s vehicle was injured.

Authorities do not believe speed or impairment were factors in the crash.
