
SARASOTA COUNTY, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash in Sarasota County Monday afternoon that left a woman injured.
WBBH reports an SUV and a pickup truck collided on Interstate 75 northbound near Bee Ridge Road at about 1:30 p.m.
State troopers said a 54-year-old Brandon man driving the pickup overcorrected in the left lane of I-75. His vehicle hit the front of the SUV, which flipped before coming to a stop in the right lane.
A passenger in the SUV, a 64-year-old Cape Coral woman, was seriously injured in the crash. No other injuries were reported.
The FHP is continuing to investigate the incident.
